Mahesh Babu shares pics with Pat Cummins and Sunrisers Hyderabad players: 'An absolute honour'

Sunrisers Hyderabad is currently holding the third-place position in the IPL 2024 points table. Recently, the team had a special meet-and-greet with Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu, who had a photoshoot with the SRH players in Hyderabad. Pictures from the shoot, where Mahesh Babu is seen with SRH captain Pat Cummins and other key players like Mayank Agarwal, Nitish Reddy, Abhishek Sharma, and Rahul Tripathi, have gone viral on social media. 

Mahesh Babu shared these photos on his Instagram handle, delighting fans.

Mahesh Babu expressed his excitement about meeting Cummins, saying, ‘An absolute honor to meet you @patcummins30! A big fan! Wishing you and the SRH team all the best!!’

The official Instagram handle of Sunrisers Hyderabad also shared the pictures, featuring the actor posing individually with all the players. The caption read, ‘SunRisers, Superstar of Telugu cinema, Mahesh Babu.’ Pat Cummins shared the picture on his Instagram as well, referring to Mahesh Babu as the ‘Prince of Tollywood.’

The pictures have excited cricket fans, with many also noting the actor's recent long-haired look.

Sunrisers Hyderabad, off to a splendid start in this IPL under Australian skipper Pat Cummins, will face Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Thursday, April 25.

Mahesh Babu's latest projects

Mahesh Babu was last seen in the Trivikram Srinivas-directed film ‘Guntur Kaaram’ opposite Sreeleela. He is currently gearing up for his next big project with SS Rajamouli, tentatively titled ‘SSMB 29.’ The film, an adventure drama in the vein of Indiana Jones, is set to start filming soon.

Rajamouli has completed the script, written by his father, and is moving into pre-production. ‘Our main hero is locked. He is Mahesh Babu; he is a Telugu actor,’ Rajamouli confirmed during a recent fan event in Japan.
