Actor Shahnawaz Pradhan, who is best known for his work in 'Mirzapur 24', 'Byomkesh Bakshi', 'Tota Weds Maina', 'Raees' and 'Phantom', has died at the age of 56. The actor suffered a heart attack during an award function in Mumbai.
Actor Yashpal Sharma, who was present at the event, shared a detailed account of the incident.
He took to Instagram and wrote, 'Today attended this program in Mumbai… Everything was going great… Ridz Dime Darrell ji’s and hundreds of artists were present but shortly after receiving the award our beloved artist Shahnawaz had an attack… The whole program stopped and with the help of the people and the doctor he was taken to the Kokilaben Hospital which was the closest but no one could save him and he passed away.'
Actor Rajesh Tailang, who played Ramakant Pandit in 'Mirzapur,' paid tribute to the late actor. He shared a picture with Shahnawaz and wrote, 'Shahnawaz bhai aakhiri salaam !!! Kya gazab ke zaheen insaan aur kitne behatar adaakar the aap. Mirzapur ke dauran kitna sundar waqt guzara aapke saath, Yaqeen nahin ho raha #purushram #mirzapur. (You were a great human being and artist. Had a great time with you at the sets of 'Mirzapur.' I can't believe this news.)
Shahnawaz's last rites will reportedly take place on Saturday in Mumbai.
