Oscars 2023: 'Naatu Naatu' from 'RRR' to be performed during ceremony

SS Rajamouli's magnum opus 'RRR' has won millions of hearts worldwide.  Now, according to a Deadline report, the film's Oscar-nominated song 'Naatu Naatu' will be performed at the 95th Academy Awards by singers Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava.

The dance track has been nominated in the original song category alongside 'This Is A Life' from 'Everything All At Once',  'Applause' from 'Tell It Like A Woman', 'Lift Me Up' from 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever', all of which are part of scheduled performances for the Oscars 2023, reported Variety.

Naatu Naatu’ has over 122 million views on YouTube and it is inspiring a TikTok challenge where users attempt to recreate the acrobatic dance-off.

‘Naatu Naatu’ has already won quite a few major awards. The song bagged the Golden Globes in the Best Original Song category and the Best Song at the 28th edition of the Critics Choice Awards.

'Naatu Naatu' has been composed by MM Keeravani and its lyrics have been written by Chandrabose.

The 95th Academy Awards will be held on March 12. The award ceremony will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel this year.
