Om Raut's 'Adipurush', starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan, will have its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York on June 13. In a statement, the director said that 'Adipurush' is not a film, it's an emotion, a sentiment. He added that the film's premiere at Tribeca Film Festival is truly surreal for him and the entire team as they get to showcase a story that has been ingrained in our culture on a global stage.
Prabhas said that he's honoured that 'Adipurush' will have its world premiere at the prestigious film festival. ‘It’s an absolute privilege to be a part of a project that mirrors the ethos of our nation. To see our Indian films, especially one that is so close to me, Adipurush, reach the global stage makes me extremely proud not only as an actor but as an Indian too,’ he said.
The netizens criticized the teaser of ‘Adipurush’ upon its release due to its visual effects. Following this, Raut promised that the audience will have no complains when the ‘Ramayana’ adaptation will hit the big screen.
‘Adipurush’ will release in cinemas on June 16.
