Global star Priyanka Chopra has kickstarted Christmas preparations with her husband, singer Nick Jonas. She took to Instagram Stories to share a glimpse of the decked-up fireplace with stockings and more.
Sharing the photo, Priyanka wrote, ‘Grateful.’
This will be Priyanka’s fifth Christmas with Nick and the second with daughter Malti Marie.
The actor seems to have hinted at an intimate, possibly indoor celebration, contrasting last year's New Jersey festivities.
Priyanka’s new post comes after her recent plea for a ceasefire in Palestine. The actor, who is actively involved with UNICEF, shared the organization's call, quoting UNICEF's executive director, Catherine Russell, emphasizing the need for a lasting humanitarian ceasefire for children.
‘Today, the Gaza Strip is once again the most dangerous place in the world to be a child. After seven days of respite from horrific violence, fighting has resumed. More children will surely die as a result. Before the pause, more than 5,300 Palestinian children were reportedly killed in 48 days of relentless bombing – a figure that does not include many children still missing and presumed to be buried under rubble,’ an excerpt of the post read.
‘We call on all parties to ensure that children are protected and assisted, in accordance with their obligations under international humanitarian law. All children in the state of Palestine and Israel deserve peace and hope for a better future – statement by UNICEF executive director, Catherine Russell, on the resumption of fighting in Gaza,’ the post further read.
