Randeep Hooda tentatively embraced the role of the antagonist in the forthcoming action film 'Jaat', where he stars opposite the iconic Sunny Deol. Initially hesitant, Hooda was approached to portray Ranatunga—a character far removed from the titular ethnic alignment, a Jaat, which Deol embodies.

An industry insider divulged that Hooda's initial reluctance was soon swayed by the infectious enthusiasm of director Gopichand Malineni during a detailed screenplay presentation. Malineni's persuasive narrative and the opportunity to pit his craft against Sunny Deol's formidable screen presence ultimately convinced Hooda to seize the villainous mantle.

The film's intensity was further evidenced on March 25, when the gripping trailer dropped on social media platforms, igniting audience anticipation. The teaser offers a preview of the fierce on-screen rivalry between Deol and Hooda, underscored by power-packed action, dramatic tension, and emotional undertones central to the film's plot.

Randeep Hooda's portrayal of Ranatunga promises a chilling depiction of evil, commanding fearlessness and ruthlessness, intent on crushing any who dare to oppose him. This formidable character stands in stark contrast to Sunny Deol’s valiant Jaat, setting the stage for an epic confrontation.

'Jaat' also serves as the inaugural collaboration between Deol and Hooda, under Malineni's direction, featuring a robust ensemble cast including Vineet Kumar Singh, Saiyami Kher, and Regina Cassandra in critical roles. The film is slated for a theatrical release on April 10, 2025.

Reflecting on his involvement, Sunny Deol shared his enthusiasm and a behind-the-scenes anecdote: “The journey of this film traces back to the buzz of 'Gadar 2'. Eager to launch into this exciting venture, we ultimately landed on Gopichand. It was a meeting in Goa where he was to direct me in another project, 'Sorry Bol'. Yet, the manner in which he engrossed me into 'Jaat' was compelling. This blend of mutual passion gave birth to what promises to be an exhilarating film.”

Fans eagerly await this thrilling cinematic duel between Deol's heroism and Hooda's villainy, set against a backdrop of intense action and dramatic storytelling.
