Actor Sonam Kapoor seems to have reacted to actor-producer Rana Daggubati’s recent veiled remarks about ‘big Hindi cinema heroine’ wasting Dulquer Salmaan's time on 'The Zoya Factor’ sets.

Without revealing what transpired over the last couple of days, Sonam shared a quote by former First Lady of the United States, Eleanor Roosevelt and wrote, ‘Just a little something I’d like some people to know… especially when discussing things about people that are made up.’

The quote reads, ‘Small minds discuss people; average minds discuss events, great minds discuss ideas.’

Rana Daggubati sparked controversy when he narrated a story about his friend, actor Dulquer Salmaan, quietly bearing with unprofessionalism on the sets of a movie.

He said that the heroine kept forgetting her lines and talking to her husband over the phone between takes; not about something urgent, but about shopping.

‘If I had a bottle in my hand, I would have crushed it. But, Dulquer remained calm and gave as many takes as he was asked. He put up with the pranks played on him. I sat with the producers later and gave them an earful,’ he was quoted as saying by India Today.

Later, Rana apologised for his remarks, which were made at an event for the upcoming film ‘King of Kotha’.

‘I am genuinely troubled by the negativity that has been aimed at Sonam due to my comments, that are totally untrue and were meant entirely in a light-hearted manner. As friends, we often exchange playful banter, and I deeply regret that my words have been misinterpreted,’ he wrote.
