Allu Arjun recently made a special appearance at the pre-release event for ‘Maruthi Nagar Subramanyam’, where he addressed persistent rumours about his highly anticipated film ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’. The Telugu superstar quashed speculation about a potential delay to 2025, confirming that the film will be released on December 6, 2024.

Speaking to his fans, known as the Allu Army, Arjun admitted feeling nervous about discussing his films before their release but assured them that ‘Pushpa 2’ is on track to be a huge success.

He encouraged fans to bring Pushpa Raj’s signature confidence to the theatres, promising the sequel would not disappoint.

On stage, Arjun declared, ‘Assalu Thaggedhe Le,’ a Telugu phrase meaning ‘I won’t back down,’ and ‘Main Kabhi Nahi Jhukega’ in Hindi, echoing his character’s popular catchphrase from ‘Pushpa: The Rise’.

Director Sukumar, who was also at the event, supported Allu Arjun’s confident promise, fuelling anticipation for ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’.

Following the blockbuster success of the first film, ‘Pushpa 2’ has become one of Indian cinema’s most eagerly awaited releases. Although initially set for August 15, 2024, the film's release was pushed to December due to production delays.

Arjun’s recent appearance also aligns with reports of his upcoming trip to Sri Lanka for the next shooting phase. After finishing the Hyderabad schedule, Arjun and the ‘Pushpa’ team are set to film action sequences in Sri Lanka’s jungles throughout September. These scenes will feature Arjun with his gang and other key characters.

The excitement for ‘Pushpa 2’ has been building since the release of a teaser earlier this year on Allu Arjun’s birthday. The teaser showcased Arjun in a striking new look, dressed in a saree with his face painted in blue and red, adorned with traditional gold and flower jewellery, as he battled goons in a dramatic action sequence.

Rashmika Mandanna, who stars alongside Arjun, has promised that ‘Pushpa 2’ will be ‘bigger’ than ever, acknowledging the high expectations for the sequel.
