Veteran actor Chiranjeevi was honoured with the Padma Vibhushan recently for his contribution to Indian cinema. Now, in a touching tribute, a fan showcased the megastar’s picture at Times Square in New York. Fans are now sharing the video of the billboard homage on social media.

In a video posted by enthusiasts Srinivas Naidu and Timmy Cheedala, Chiranjeevi's image is prominently showcased at Times Square. The picture features Chiranjeevi adorned in a white pattu pancha set. The accompanying billboard carries a heartfelt message that reads, ‘Congratulations Megastar Chiranjeevi garu for achieving India’s most prestigious and highest civilian award - Padma Vibhushan.’

The grand display in Times Square serves as a tribute to the veteran actor's remarkable accomplishments and garners widespread appreciation from fans.

After receiving the Padma Vibhushan, Chiranjeevi garnered congratulations from fans and celebrities like Jr NTR, Mammootty, and Mahesh Babu on social media.

Filmmakers visited him personally, and his family, including Ram Charan, Upasana Konidela, Varun Tej, Allu Arjun, expressed their love online.

This marks his second Padma Award, having received the Padma Bhushan in 2006. Beyond his cinematic contributions, Chiranjeevi is recognized for philanthropy. In 1998, he established the Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust (CCT) and Blood and Eye Banks, the largest recipients of donations in Andhra Pradesh. His humanitarian efforts extend to supporting film industry workers during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Chiranjeevi’s forthcoming projects

Chiranjeevi, with a career-spanning decades, has featured in over 160 films across Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and Kannada languages.

His recent appearance was in Meher Ramesh’s ‘Bholaa Shankar,’ a Telugu remake of the Tamil film ‘Vedalam.’ The veteran actor is gearing up for his next project, ‘Vishwambhara,’ directed by Vasshista Mallidi, set to release for Sankranthi 2025.

Chiranjeevi's diverse filmography and continued involvement in the industry showcase his enduring impact and commitment to entertaining audiences across multiple languages.
