Srinidhi Shetty won the title of 'Miss Karnataka' in 2015, then participated in 'Miss Diva' and later won the international pageant 'Miss Supranational' in 2016. She was the 2nd Indian to win this prestigious title.
In an exclusive chat with Editorji, the model-turned-actor spoke about her recent film 'K.G.F: Chapter 2' and her experience working with Yash. "I saw the huge fan following Yash has. Be it Mumbai, Kochi, or anywhere else, the malls were jam-packed everywhere we went for the film's promotions. It's overwhelming to see the massive fan following for Yash and 'K.G.F.' Working with Yash has been an absolute pleasure. Even though I am a newcomer and he is such a huge star, Yash has been so patient and extremely supportive. He gave me my own space and time to soak it all in. He has been truly a treat to work with. I always watched and learned how dedicated he is and how he wants to improvise every time and do full justice to Rocky's character."

Speaking about her upbringing and debut in the film industry, she said, "When you grow up, you have your share of struggles, difficulties, and financial crises. I come from a lower-middle-class family, where one is expected to finish the studies and eventually get a job. But, somewhere down the line, I felt that this was not what I wanted to do...I wanted to break the shackles and come out of it. I resigned from my corporate job and immediately started trying for pageants as they have age restrictions. One day, the director saw my pictures and called me for a meeting for 'K.G.F.'," she adds.
Srinidhi also revealed that it was a conscious decision not to sign many films parallel to 'K.G.F.' "When K.G.F. (part 1) released, many offers came my way. A few were not exciting enough, while others did not work out the way it was supposed to be. Around 2019, I got a script narration from a Tamil director because it was beautiful [sic]. I got a chance to work with Vikram Sir -- another legendary talent house performer. So, there are absolutely no regrets about waiting for six years with just two projects in hand. It was a conscious effort and choice to pick up what I wanted to do. Down the line, when I see my body of work, I want to be happy that this is what I chose because I really wanted to do it, not just for the sake of doing it. For me, I prefer quality any day over quantity."
Released nationwide on April 14, 2022, in Kannada, Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam, 'K.G.F: Chapter 2' is written and directed by Prashanth Neel.
