‘Jailer’ fever: Rajinikanth’s fans offer prayers at Madurai’s Thiruparankundram temple for film’s success

Rajinikanth starrer ‘Jailer’ is all set to hit the cinemas on August 10. Ahead of its release, fans of the superstar were seen offering special prayers at Thiruparankundram Amman Temple in Madurai for the film’s success.

One of Rajinikanth’s fans told ANI, ‘I have been a Rajini fan for 40 years. From Rajini's Padayappa till today I have been doing various prayers for the success of Rajini's film. Today I am praying that Rajini's 169th film Jailer will be successful.’

‘On behalf of Madurai district, we prayed for the success of Rajini's film jailer. Rajini is trying to make his fans good way. At the audio launch, Rajini told his fans not to drink and accordingly, we have taken a pledge not to drink,’ another person said.

According to ETimes, the Rajinikanth frenzy has reached new heights as Bengaluru and Chennai offices have declared a holiday on the release day of 'Jailer'. Some companies have also distributed free tickets to employees, supporting anti-piracy efforts.

‘Jailer’, an action-packed entertainer, has a stellar star cast that includes Jackie Shroff, Priyanka Mohan, Shiva Rajkumar, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Vasanth Ravi, Vinayakan in prominent roles.

The makers have also roped in Malayalam actor Mohanlal for an extended cameo in the film.
