Superstar Rajinikanth’s much-awaited film ‘Jailer’ released in theatres on August 10 and many fans lined up outside theatres to watch the actor’s magic unfold on the big screen.
Visuals of fans bursting crackers, pouring milk on the car which has ‘Jailer’ written on it, and dancing with drums outside theatres are being widely shared on social media. A video also shows fans showering flowers at those making their way to watch the film’s first day, first show. They also showered petals on Rajinikanth's posters.
The celebrations are not limited to India. Fans in the US and Canada were also seen making their way to the theatres to watch the film’s first show.
The film marks Rajinikanth’s first collaboration with director Nelson Dilipkumar. Rajinikanth returns to the big screen after two years with this film and most the first day, the first show begins at 6 am in India.
‘Jailer’ also features cameos by Malayalam superstar Mohanlal and Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar. Jackie Shroff, Ramya Krishnan, Tamannaah, Vinayakan, and several others are part of the cast.
'Jailer' has music composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
'Kaavaalaa' and 'Hukum' are the two songs that have become chartbusters.
According to Pinkvilla, Rajinikanth starrer ‘Jailer’ has successfully beaten Sunny Deol’s ‘Gadar 2’ in terms of advance bookings by selling tickets worth more than Rs 13 crores.
