Karan Johar joins hands with Jr NTR, comes on board ‘Devara’ for north theatrical distribution rights

Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar has announced partnership with ‘RRR’ star Jr NTR for his upcoming film ‘Devara’. Taking all his fans by surprise Johar took to his Instagram to announce his collaboration with the makers of ‘Devara’ for the North Indian theatrical distribution rights of the film.

Sharing the poster of the film and a picture with team ‘Devara’, Karan Johar wrote, “A mass hurricane of grandeur entertainment is CLOSER THAN EVER BEFORE! Honoured & extremely grateful to be a part of – Man of Masses Jr NTR’s #Devara We are extremely thrilled & proud to announce our partnership for the north theatrical distribution rights for the next big cinematic experience in Indian cinema!” In the poster, the release date of film was mentioned as October 10, 2024, indicating no further delay.  

Jr NTR recently opened up on his upcoming film at the success event of Tillu Square. He said, “I don’t know if this is a bit too much but I’ll say it anyways. I’m wearing a shirt today and this shirt has a collar. Even if Devara is delayed by a few days, I guarantee you that Devara will be a film that will make all of you raise your collars in pride. We are working hard and will continue to work hard to deliver the best for our audience.” 

About ‘Devara’ 

‘Devara’ will mark Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan's Telugu cinema debut. Besides, the film also features an ensemble cast that includes Prakash Raj, Srikanth Meka, Tom Shine Chacko, and Narain. Directed by Koratala Siva, the film is presented by Nandamuri Kalyan Ram and produced under the banners of NTR Arts and Yuvasudha Arts.  

Similar to ‘RRR,’ ‘Devara’ is expected to feature high-octane action sequences that will leave the audience awestruck. Reports suggest that ‘Devara’ is being produced on a grand scale, with the makers investing a staggering Rs 140 crore on its visual effects.
