Kerala HC dismisses actor Dileep's plea to quash FIR in murder conspiracy

The Kerala High Court has dismissed Malayalam actor Dileep's plea to quash the FIR that accused him and others of killing the investigation officials who probed the actor rape case in 2017.
In his plea, actor Dileep accused the filing of the impugned FIR as a vindictive, ill-motivated, pre-determined and malafide act executed with oblique.

Ziyad Rahman A. A dismissed the actor's plea, in which he said that the murder conspiracy was a personal animosity against the actor as all of the male members of his family are framed in it.

Consequently, Dileep and five men were booked under Sections 116 (abetment), 118 (concealing design to commit offence), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 120B (criminal conspiracy) r/w Section 34 (common intention) of the IPC.

According to the horrific incident, a South actor was abducted and allegedly raped in a car for two hours on the night of February 17, 2017. The entire act was filmed by a few people who blackmailed her later. There are a total of 10 accused in the 2017 case. However, the police have arrested seven of them till now.
