‘Kubera’: Watch the enigmatic first look of Nagarjuna from Dhanush's film

Nagarjuna's first look promo from Sekhar Kammula and Dhanush's 'Kubera' was revealed on May 2. The teaser debuted during the SRH vs RR IPL match on Star Sports, showcasing Nagarjuna's mysterious character. Nagarjuna later shared the YouTube link to the first look on his official social media.

Nagarjuna appears in a smart blue shirt, black trousers, and glasses amidst heavy rain, surrounded by trucks full of cash. In the final moments, he is seen placing a Rs 500 note atop piles of cash.

Earlier, the first look of actor Dhanush from Sekhar Kammula’s Kubera' was unveiled, earning a thrilling response from audiences nationwide. Dhanush plays the role of a homeless man in Dharavi who turns into a mafia kingpin.

‘Kubera' is one of the most awaited pan-Indian films, helmed by National Award-winning director Sekhar Kammula. The film boasts an ensemble cast including Dhanush, King Nagarjuna Akkineni, Rashmika Mandanna, and Jim Sarbh. The film is jointly produced by Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao under the Sri Venkateswara Cinemas LLP and Amigos Creations Pvt Ltd banner. Sekhar Kammula's Kubera’ is a pan-India multilingual film, being shot simultaneously in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi.

The shooting of 'Kubera' is currently progressing at a brisk pace and is expected to be wrapped up soon.

Furthermore, this marks the next project for Nagarjuna Akkineni, who was last seen in the film ‘Naa Saami Ranga.’ Released earlier this year, it was the official Telugu adaptation of the Malayalam movie ‘Porinju Mariam Jose.’ Despite receiving mixed-to-positive reviews, the film was a box office hit and is currently streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.

Regarding Dhanush, he was last seen in the film ‘Captain Miller,’ released during Pongal this year. Apart from the upcoming Sekhar Kammula project, the actor is also stepping into the role of a director for his future films.

The actor known for ‘Vaathi’ is directing a coming-of-age film titled ‘Nilavuku Enmel Ennadi Kobam’ or NEEK, featuring an ensemble cast. Additionally, he will helm and star in the project ‘Raayan,’ alongside Kalidas Jayaram and Sundeep Kishan.

Moreover, the actor is set to play the lead in Maestro Ilaiyaraaja’s biopic, directed by Arun Matheswaran of ‘Captain Miller’ fame.
