‘Lal Salaam’: Rajinikanth announces Kapil Dev’s cameo in film; says ‘it’s an honour and privilege’

Superstar Rajinikanth has shared that he will be sharing the screen with former Indian cricketer Kapil Dev in the upcoming film ‘Lal Salaam’. He took to social media to share a photo of himself with the former Indian skipper.

Along with the photo, Rajinikanth wrote, ‘It is my honour and privilege working with the Legendary, most respected and wonderful human being Kapildevji., who made India proud winning for the first time ever.. Cricket World Cup!!! #lalsalaam #therealkapildev.’

The photo has probably been clicked at the set of the movie and it seems that Kapil playing a cricketer in the movie. He is seen wearing grey track pants and a white t-shirt. Meanwhile, Rajinikanth has donned a white achkan, paired with brown formal shoes.

Earlier in the day, Kapil Sharma had also shared a photo with Rajinikanth with the caption, ‘An honour and privilege to be with a great man.’

Fans have expressed their happiness at seeing the two superstars together. One Twitter user wrote, ‘Two legends of their fields – Thalaivar Rajinikanth & Legend Kapil Dev…!.’ Another commented, ‘Unexpected combo #LalSalaam Hype on a New Level.’

‘Lal Salaam’ will star Rajinikanth as ‘Moideen Bhai’. The film, directed by his daughter Aishwarya, stars Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in the lead roles.

Rajinikanth was last seen in ‘Annaatthe’ (2021). He will be next seen in ‘Jailer’, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar.
