Malayalam actor Arundhathi Nair critical after bike accident, is 'fighting for her life' in ICU

In a round of sad news coming from the Malayalam film industry, actor Arundhathi Nair has suffered a major bike accident along with her brother. Arundhathi's sister Arathy Nair, confirmed the news and mentioned that the actor is fighting for her life in the ICU. Her sister shared the news on social media and requested fans to pray for Arundhathi.

Arundhathi Nair critical in ICU

Arathy revealed on Instagram that her sister's health is critical. She wrote, “We felt the need to clarify the news reported in Tamil Nadu's newspapers and television channels. It is true that my sister Arundhathi Nair had an accident three days ago, (sic)” adding, “She is critically injured and fighting for her life while being kept on a ventilator at the Ananthapuri Hospital in Trivandrum. (sic)” She wrote in the caption while sharing the statement, “We Need your prayers and Support for her speedy recovery.”

The actor was travelling with her brother when the accident took place. They were returning home after giving an interview to a YouTube channel.

Many fans commented on the post. One wrote, "Omg!! My prayers to you dear Arundhathi.. get well soon," while another fan wrote, "We are always praying for her speed recovery."

Another fan took to Instagram and wrote, "Dear fans and people's please pray for her speedy recovery and also make an Pooja in the name of @arundhathi.nair_ in each and every temples and light and agal dheepam."

Arundhathi made her debut in Tamil with 'Pongi Ezhu Manohara' in 2014. She rose to fame with Vijay Antony's 'Saithan'. She debuted in Malayalam cinema with 2018 film'Ottakoru Kaamukan'. She was last seen in the Tamil film, 'Aayiram Porkaasukal' in 2023.
