Tamil actor Mansoor Ali Khana has been facing immense backlash for his sexist and derogatory comments against his ‘Leo’ co-star Trisha. Days after issuing an apology to Trisha, the actor now plans to file a defamation case against her, actor-politician Khushbu Sundar and veteran star Chiranjeevi.
According to a News18 report, the actor claims that the video which took the internet by storm was manipulated and doctored. He has also accused Trisha, Chiranjeevi, and Khushbu of defaming and disturbing the public peace for criminal and civil purposes for a week.
He claimed that he was innocent and would produce the original video and evidence against the three actors.
For the unversed, Trisha had filed an FIR against Mansoor Ali Khan under Section 354 A (sexual harassment) and Section 509 (word, gesture, or act intended to outrage the modesty of a woman) after a clip of the actor’s interview went viral.
In the video, he said, ‘When I heard that I was acting with Trisha, I thought there would be a bedroom scene in the film. I thought that I could carry her to the bedroom just like I did with other actresses in my earlier movies. I have done so many rape scenes, and it’s not new to me. But these guys didn’t even show Trisha to me on the sets during the shooting in Kashmir.’
The actor strongly condemned the ‘sexist, disrespectful, misogynistic, repulsive’ comments made by Mansoor Ali Khan.
She also received support from many celebs including veteran actor Chiranjeevi.
After the Tamil Nadu Police booked Mansoor Ali Khan following the National Council for Women’s (NCW) intervention, the actor issued an apology. Trisha has forgiven her co-star and reacted to the apology by sharing a post on X (formerly known as Twitter). She wrote, ‘To err is human, to forgive is divine.’
