'RRR' star Ram Charan returned to India on Friday, has revealed that said he wanted to perform Naatu Naatu at the Oscars. During the ceremony ceremony, dancers belonging to different ethnicities performed the Oscar winning track, sung live on the Dolby Theatre stage by singers Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava.

While speaking at the India Today Conclave 2023, the actor said 'I was 100 per cent ready to get that call but I truly don’t know what happened. But let’s not talk about it because the troupe who did it there, they were fantastic and they did a better job than us'

He further added that now it’s for them to relax and enjoy the show and see somebody else perform for India. He feels that it is no longer their song, it is India’s song. It’s the people who have taken them to the carpet.

'Naatu Naatu', which was picturised on Charan and Jr NTR in the SS Rajamouli's magnum opus won the Academy award for Best Original Song. Composer MM Keeravaani and lyricist Chandrabose received the trophy.
