Prashanth Neel, the director of ‘Salaar: Part One- CeaseFire', is all praise for Prithviraj Sukumaran’s directing skills for the film. He also shared that Prithviraj made valuable contributions to the film.
In an interview with Galatta Plus, Prashanth opened up on Prithviraj Sukumaran’s role in the movie, “He is not playing the second fiddle in this but, you know how it is. The hero is doing many of the things. I thought that was something that was going to be difficult to convince him about. But he loved the script.”
Praising Sukumaran, Prashanth said “I realised fast that he was thinking like a director. He is colossal. He was like the most perfect assistant director. The kind of suggestions he made from a creative point of view. Salaar cannot be without Prithviraj.”
When asked why he chose Prithviraj Sukumaran, he said they needed an actor more than a star. “We needed a phenomenal actor for the role of Varadharaja Mannar. The friendship that we wanted to show, we wanted someone who could show both love and the hate in him,” he said.
‘Salaar: Part One- CeaseFire' will hit the theatres on December 22.
