Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumaran met with an accident on the sets of ‘Vilayath Buddha’ while shooting for a fight sequence on June 25. The actor has been admitted to a private hospital in Kochi.
Prithviraj Sukumaran sustained an injury in his leg and will undergo a keyhole surgery on June 26. He will be taking a break from work for a few weeks to recover, as per the advice of the doctors, informed Entertainment Industry tracker, Sreedhar Pillai.
The shooting of ‘Vilayath Buddha’ has been put on hold as Prithviraj will be resting for a couple of months.
‘Vilayath Buddha’, directed by Jayan Nambiyar, revolves around a conflict between two lead characters over the ownership of a sandalwood tree. Besides Prithviraj Sukumaran, the film also stars Anu Mohan and Priyamvada Krishnan in prominent roles.
Other than ‘Vilayath Buddha’, Prithviraj Sukumaran is also part of Prabhas’s upcoming film ‘Salaar’, which is directed by Prashanth Neel of ‘KGF’ fame. He is playing an antagonist role in the movie, which is one of the biggest upcoming ventures in Telugu currently.
‘Salaar’ will be released in cinemas on September 28, 2023.
