Megastar Prithviraj Sukumaran, who suffered an injury while shooting for his upcoming film ‘Vilayath Buddha’, has now shared his health update on social media.
He wrote, ‘Hello! So yes.. I had an accident while shooting an action sequence for VILAYATH BUDDHA. Fortunately, I'm in the hands of experts who performed a key whole surgery and I'm now recouping. It's rest and physiotherapy ahead for a couple of months. Will try my best to use that time constructively, and I promise to fight through the pain to recover fully and get back into action asap. Thankyou to all those who reached out and expressed concern and love (sic).’
Prithviraj suffered minor injuries to his leg while shooting an action sequence for the film in Marayoor, Cochin. He underwent keyhole surgery on June 26.
Prithviraj Sukumaran was last seen in the Malayalam film, ‘Kaapa’.
The actor will be next seen in Prabhas' ‘Salaar’, which is directed by Prashanth Neel of ‘KGF’ fame.
The film will release in cinemas worldwide on September 28 in multiple languages.
His long-pending film, ‘Aadujjeevitham’ will also see a grand release in a few months.
‘Vilayath Buddha’ is directed by Jayan Nambiar.
