'Pushpa: The Rise' star Allu Arjun becomes first South Indian actor to win 'Indian of the Year' award

Allu Arjun has been gathering a lot of love from fans after his excellent acting in blockbuster ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ and the actor has now won the title of 'Indian Of The Year.'

Allu took to Instagram on Thursday and shared a picture where he received the award presented by CNN News 18. He donned an all-black attire for the event.  

Recently, he became the only actor to have represented the nation as Grand Marshall at the annual Indian day parade in New York.

The actor has won the Best Actor (Telugu) award for ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ at South Indian International Movie Awards or SIIMA and the 67th Filmfare Award South.

The film is directed by Sukumar and Allu plays the role of Pushpa Raj and according to Pinkvilla, the actor is all set for the sequel too. The sequel will also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil just like the original drama, as per reports.
