The excitement is building up as the release date of Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna starrer ‘Pushpa: The Rule’ is coming closer. More details are emerging ahead of the film’s release. A News 18 report has revealed that online streaming platform Netflix has bought the streaming rights of the film. Here is all that we know.
The report suggests that Netflix has brought digital streaming rights for a whooping ₹100 crore. However, the makers of the film are yet to confirm the same.
Sharing more details about the film, the report suggests that ‘Pushpa 2’, which has a budget of 500 crore rupees has spent almost ₹60 crore on a six-minute sequence to make it an unforgettable cinematic experience for the fans. It reportedly took 30 days to shoot the scene which includes a Gangamma Jatara performance and an action-packed fight sequence. Meanwhile, T-Series has purchased worldwide music rights and Hindi satellite rights for ₹60 crore.
The makers earlier teased the fans as they unveiled the first teaser of the film on Allu Arjun’s birthday. Sharing the teaser on his social media handles, he wrote, “I thank each and everyone of you for the birthday wishes! My heart is full of gratitude. Please take this teaser as my way of saying thank you!”
Directed by Sukumar, the film will take off from where it left off in the first part. After the massive success of ‘Pushpa: The Rise’, Allu Arjun is back with Sukumar for its sequel. Besides Allu and Rashmika, Jagapathi Babu, Fahadh Faasil, Prakash Raj, Sunil and Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari will be seen in key roles. There are also reports that Sanjay Dutt and Samantha Ruth Prabhu will be seen in cameo roles. ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ is scheduled to hit theatres on August 15, 2024.
