Rajinikanth embarks on a spiritual journey to the Himalayas, prepares for ‘Vettaiyan’ release

Setting off from Chennai, Rajinikanth embarks on a journey to explore more sacred caves in the Himalayas, beginning with Dehradun, Uttarakhand. Speaking to ANI at Dehradun Airport, he shares his anticipation for fresh experiences on this spiritual journey.

‘Every year I used to get new experience that made me continue my spiritual journey again and again. I believe even this time, will get new experiences,’ he said.

Rajinikanth also talks about the importance of spirituality. ‘The whole world needs spirituality, as it's important for every human being. Being spiritual means experiencing peace and tranquility, and fundamentally, it involves believing in God,’ he added.

Recently, the megastar sought blessings at the BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi, expressing gratitude for the esteemed UAE Golden visa granted by the Department of Culture and Tourism.

On the work front 

Rajinikanth wraps up filming for ‘Vettaiyan,’ his 170th movie, directed by TJ Gnanavel, featuring Amitabh Bachchan.  

Amitabh took to Instagram to share a snapshot of their camaraderie, where they can be seen engaged in a conversation. In his post, Amitabh expresses his honour and privilege to reunite with the legendary Rajinikanth, praising his humility. 

The production company had unveiled the title teaser of the movie on Rajinikanth's 73rd birthday. The star-studded cast of 'Vettaiyan' includes Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Ritika Singh, Manju Warrier, and Dushara Vijayan, with Anirudh Ravichander, composing the music.  

Recapping his recent movies

Rajinikanth's cameo in daughter Aishwarya's 'Lal Salaam' explores themes of societal oppression and religious bias, receiving varied reviews. As anticipation builds for 'Vettaiyan,' fans eagerly await Rajinikanth's next cinematic masterpiece.
