Megastar Rajinikanth was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai on September 30th night due to severe stomach pain. A hospital source confirmed that the 73-year-old actor is scheduled to undergo an elective procedure on October 1, overseen by interventional cardiologist Dr. Sai Satish in the cardiac catheterization lab.
When CNN-News18 reached out for an update on Rajinikanth's health, his wife Latha reassured fans, saying, ‘All is well,’ bringing a sense of relief to his devoted followers.
Social media has been flooded with messages of support, with fans sharing their hopes for his swift recovery. His appearance was nothing short of spectacular, as he mesmerized the audience with his signature dance moves. This film marks Rajinikanth’s 170th cinematic venture, produced by Lyca Productions with an impressive budget of Rs 160 crore. The movie was filmed in stunning locations across India, including Chennai, Mumbai, Thiruvananthapuram, and Hyderabad, heightening anticipation for its release.
‘Vettaiyan’ will mark Rajinikanth's reunion with Amitabh Bachchan after more than 30 years, with the two megastars last sharing the screen in the 1991 action-drama ‘Hum’. Alongside Big B and Thalaivar, the TJ Gnanavel-directed film boasts an impressive cast, including Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Kishore, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, GM Sundar, and Rohini, among others. ‘Vettaiyan’ is set for a global theatrical release on October 10, 2024.
