Rajinikanth’s film ‘Vettaiyan’ gets a new release date, film set to clash with Jr NTR’s ‘Devara’

It’s going to be a blockbuster year for the fans of Thalaiva. Tamil megastar’s ‘Vettaiyan’ is all set to release this year and he will soon begin the shoot of his next film. The veteran actor himself confirmed these two updates. 

Rajinikanth confirms ‘Vettaiyan’ release date 

Tamil megastar’s ‘Vettaiyan’ is all set to release this year. On his spiritual journey, the actor was enquired about his films by one of the yogis. While mentioning his upcoming film, he confirmed that his film ‘Vettaiyan’ will be released on October 10. “I have completed my portions. The shooting with other members of the cast is still going on. The film will release on October 10 or so,” Rajinikanth said. The film directed by TJ Gnanavel, ‘Vettaiyan’ also features Amitabh Bachchan and Fahadh Faasil in lead roles.  

Big clash with Jr NTR’s ‘Devara’ 

If ‘Vettaiyan’ does release on the date mentioned by Rajinikanth, it will be a mega box office clash. The film will be pitted against Jr NTR’s ‘Devara: Part 1’ as the makers of film have already announced its release on October 10, 2024. 

Rajinikanth shares update on ‘Coolie’ 

Rajinikanth also spoke about his other film Coolie with director Lokesh Kanagaraj in the same conversation with the yogi. The veteran actor said that he will begin the shoot from June 10 onwards which means that he will resume work right after his spiritual journey.

Thalaiva on spiritual journey 

Rajinikanth is currently on his annual spiritual trip to Himalayas. He was recently clicked near Mahavatar Babaji caves in Uttarakhand. Pictures and videos of the actor from various shrines have been doing rounds on social media. He was recently felicitated by Uttarakhand police.
