This honor follows his international acclaim for his role in 'RRR,' further establishing him as a 'Global Star.'

This prestigious recognition aligns Charan with notable figures like Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and acclaimed director Shankar, who have also been honored by the university. This year's recipients include Dr. P Veeramuthuvel, Project Coordinator at Chandrayaan, ISRO, among others.

Who is Ram Charan?

Ram Charan is a prominent Indian film actor, producer, and entrepreneur who primarily works in Telugu cinema. The son of veteran actor Chiranjeevi made his acting debut in 2007 with the film ‘Chirutha,’ which earned him the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut – South. He has since appeared in several successful films, including ‘Magadheera,’ ‘Rangasthalam,’ and ‘Dhruva,’ establishing himself as one of the leading actors in the Telugu film industry.

Apart from his acting career, Ram Charan is also a successful entrepreneur and businessman. He owns the Hyderabad Polo and Riding Club and is involved in the Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket team Chennai Super Kings. He is married to Upasana Kamineni, the vice-chairman of Apollo Charity, and they are known for their philanthropic work.
