Actor Rashmika Mandanna clapped back at a social media troll who claimed she chose her 2022 Telugu movie ‘Aadavallu Meeku Johaarlu’ because of her co-star Sharwanand and director Kishore Tirumala, not because of the script.

Rashmika questioned the user for spreading ‘unfounded’ rumours and affirmed she chooses films solely based on the script.

‘Who said that? I only pick movies I believe in. Working with the team is an honor. I'm curious where these baseless rumors come from,’ she expressed.

‘Aadavallu Meeku Johaarlu’ received mixed reviews from critics and was also a box office failure.

A few days earlier, Rashmika Mandanna responded to a user who alleged she raised her fee post ‘Animal’ success. Disputing the claim, Rashmika pondered, ‘Who says?’ She joked about considering the raise, attributing it to media speculation and jokingly consulting her producers on the matter.

Taking a humorous jab at the report, the actor wrote, ‘Says who I wonder.. after seeing all of this I think I should actually consider it.. and if my producers ask why.. then I’ll just say ‘media out there is saying this sir.. and I think I should live up to their words.. what do I do?’.’

Rashmika’s work front

Professionally, Rashmika has a busy schedule ahead. She's gearing up for the much-awaited ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ with Allu Arjun. Besides, she's lined up for Telugu projects like ‘Rainbow’ and ‘The Girlfriend.’ Additionally, she'll star opposite Vicky Kaushal in Laxman Utekar's film ‘Chaava.’

In a conversation with Pinkvilla, Rashmika disclosed wrapping up shooting for a song in Pushpa 2. She highlighted the team's dedication to replicating the success of Pushpa: The Rise.

‘I can promise you that Pushpa 2 is going to be so much bigger. We gave some madness in the first film, in part 2, we know we have a responsibility because people have so much expectation from the film. We are constantly and consciously trying to deliver that. I just shot for a song for Pushpa 2 and I was just like, ‘How are you guys thinking about this?’ Everyone is so driven to make a good film. All of us have gone all out and are enjoying the process. It’s a story that has no end, you can lead it any which way. It is fun,’ she said.
