Actor Prithviraj Sukumaran turned a year older on October 16 and on the special occasion, the makers of ‘Salaar’ have unveiled the actor’s first-look poster from the forthcoming film.

Hombale Films, the production house, took to X (formerly X) and wrote, ‘Wishing 'Vardharaja Mannaar' THE KING @PrithviOfficial, a majestic birthday (sic).’

In the poster, Prithviraj is seen in a rugged look. He dons a black outfit with a shawl around his neck. He has a black tika on his forehead and a nose ring.

The monochrome picture also has several people standing behind him against a cloudy and dust-filled sky.

Prithviraj Sukumaran will play the role of Vardharaja Mannaar, Raja Mannaar's son in the film.

His fans took to social media to extend their best wishes for him on his birthday while sharing the poster.

After Om Raut’s ‘Adipurush’, Prabhas' fans have been awaiting the release of the action thriller which is about a violent man.

Earlier, the makers announced that the film would be released on September 28. However, it was postponed as the makers decided to work on the film's post-production.

On September 29, Hombale Films finally announced the film's new release date. The movie, directed by Prashant Neel of ‘KGF’ fame, will now be released in theatres on December 22.

Prashanth Neel's 'Salaar' is scheduled to be released in two parts. The first installment is titled 'Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire'. It features Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran and Shruti Haasan in lead roles. The movie also features Jagapathi Babu, Tinnu Anand, Easwari Rao, Sriya Reddy and Ramachandra Raju in pivotal roles.

For the first time, Prabhas has teamed up with Prashanth Neel and Prithviraj Sukumaran.

Recently, Prithviraj said he has recovered from his knee injury and will return to work with ‘100 per cent’ energy.

In an Instagram post, Sukumaran said it has been three months since he injured his knee while shooting for an action sequence for his upcoming Malayalam film ‘Vilayath Buddha’.
