Prabhas starrer 'Salaar: Part One -Ceasefire is all set to release in cinemas on December 22. Ahead of its premiere, visuals of fans lining up in long queues to purchase tickets at Hyderabad's Sandhya Theatre are going viral.

Meanwhile, the Telangana government has issued a statement stating that the action thriller will have 1AM shows.

The Prashant Neel directorial has reportedly earned over Rs 6 crore in advance bookings.

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, 'Salaar' sold almost three lakh tickets, but it's still short of Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming film, ‘Dunki's bookings, which stand at Rs 8.19 crore.

'Dunki' will be released in theatres on December 21.

Fight for single screens

According to a source in the trade industry who spoke to The Indian Express, the team behind 'Dunki' has made it clear that they do not wish to share the screen with 'Salaar'.

‘The clause says, either give us all four shows, or don’t give any. And if you don’t give us, then we will also see what to do in future with other films,’ the source said.

‘Dunki’ is being distributed by Pen Marudhar while ‘Salaar’ is being released by Anil Thadani’s AA Films.

The source mentioned that while every distributor will make an effort to showcase the film to the best of their ability, they also added that ultimately, the team behind 'Dunki' might not get what they want.

‘Dunki team’s point of view is that they were the first to announce, so they deserve priority, and on top of that, Shah Rukh is coming with two Rs 500 cr films. They will of course go all out to give it the best possible showcasing,’ the source added.
