Suriya Sivakumar has cast his vote for the upcoming Oscars, which is set to take place on March 13 (IST). Taking to social media, he shared a picture of the voting screen (without revealing details). ‘Voting is done!’ he wrote.

Suriya is the first Tamil actor to join the Oscars committee. The Academy released a list of new 397 artists, who were invited to the Academy’s Class of 2022, in June last year. Suriya’s fans were excited to find his name in it.

Earlier, Music maestro and two-time Academy Award winner AR Rahman shared a screenshot to announce that he has voted for Academy Awards.

SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus ‘RRR’s song ‘Naatu Naatu’ has been nominated under the category of Best Original Song for the upcoming Oscars. The song has already won a Golden Globe and Critics Choice Award. The foot-tapping track will be performed live at the Oscars by singers Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava.
