The much-anticipated trailer of 'The Goat Life,' starring Prithviraj Sukumaran, is finally here. Based on Benyamin’s acclaimed novel 'Aadujeevitham' inspired by real-life incidents, the film follows a young man, Najeeb, who leaves Kerala in the early ’90s to try his luck abroad in search of a better life. Also starring Amala Paul, Jimmy Jean-Louis and Talib al Balushi, the film has been helmed by Blessy. Music direction and sound design for the film are helmed by Academy Award winners AR Rahman and Resul Pookutty, respectively.
The 1-minute and 33-second-long trailer gives a glimpse into the world of Najeeb as he embarks on an unreal journey filled with trials and tribulations. While Najeeb’s journey is at the helm of the story, the trailer also shows flashbacks of his life, which gives a rudimentary view into what inspired his decision. Additionally, Prithviraj Sukumaran's transformation as he chronicles different phases of Najeeb's life surviving in the desert is impressive.
The official synopsis of the film teases ‘extraordinary visuals and soul-stirring music’, which will give audiences a breathtaking cinematic experience’.
Sharing his experience on 'The Goat Life', Prithviraj Sukumaran shared, “It’s been a long journey and not an easy one; after a decade-long wait, the audience gets to watch the fruit of our hard work and turmoil. From Covid Days to today, The Goat Life has been an unexpected and unforgettable journey. It has been an honour to be a part of Blessy Sir’s vision and watch a maestro like AR Rahman bring music to life. The Goat Life is more than just a movie for us, it’s a story that has touched our hearts and will stay with us forever. We hope the audience feels the same.”
