‘VD12’ producers make special request after Vijay Deverakonda's look gets leaked: 'Past 6 months....'

Actor Vijay Deverakonda, who is currently busy filming his upcoming movie, titled ‘VD12’, has been staying out of the spotlight to keep his look a secret, but a few photos from the set have surfaced online, revealing his rugged appearance.

After the photos went viral on X, the film’s producer issued a statement, revealing that the team is working hard in Sri Lanka and has completed 60% of the film. Given this progress, they requested fans to refrain from sharing Vijay's leaked photos.

‘Dear Rowdy fans, we share your excitement and enthusiasm! Team #VD12 is working very hard to bring you an unforgettable theatrical experience. Till date, we have completed 60% of the shoot and are currently filming in Sri Lanka,’ the statement read.

‘For the past six months, we have been keeping details under wraps. Preserving the first look for a red hot official unveiling. We kindly ask you to refrain from sharing any leaks and wait for the official announcement. Coming very soon!’ they added.

About the leaked photos

In one photo, Vijay Deverakonda is seated on the pillion seat of a bike, riding along the beach. In the second photo, he looks directly at the camera while filming a scene that appears to be set during a village festival. In both images, he sports cropped hair and a beard.

About ‘VD12’

In ‘VD12’, Vijay Deverakonda plays the role of a spy. He filmed a significant portion in Visakhapatnam before the team moved to Sri Lanka for the remaining shoot. Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, the film's release date is still unknown.

Vijay’s work front

Vijay Deverakonda last made a cameo as Arjuna in Nag Ashwin’s ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. His last film was ‘The Family Star’, co-starring Mrunal Thakur.
