Taylor Swift's Eras Tour attracted the largest crowd ever assembled at Allianz Parque stadium in São Paulo, Brazil. This happened despite the tragic day of Swift’s concert where a fan lost his life. The concert had a late start due to high temperatures and Swift eventually launched into the next leg of her concert.
Taylor Swift debuted “Now That We Don’t Talk”
Taylor Swift debuted 'Now That We Don’t Talk' live at her first concert in São Paulo, Brazil on November 24. The crowd was full of energy and a massive ferris wheel honoured the American singer with its enormous LED lights. Though some fans also complained that Taylor's vocals could hardly be heard over the loud, enthusiastic crowd.
Taylor interacted with fans on stage, “We have the best possible opening act on this tour and she absolutely played her heart out for you, so will you give it up again for the brilliant, the beautiful, and fantastic Sabrina Carpenter.”
Loss of a beloved fan
Ana Clara Benevides Machado tragically passed away after falling ill during Taylor Swift's concert due to extreme heat wave. This led to the postponement of and cancellation of performances in Brazil. Taylor was shattered due to the mishap and shared a heartfelt note on social media. She wrote, "I can't believe I'm writing these words but it is with a shattered heart that I say we lost a fan earlier tonight before my show. I can't even tell you how devastated I am by this. There's very little information I have other than the fact that she was so incredibly beautiful and far too young. I'm not going to be able to speak about this from stage because I feel overwhelmed by grief when I even try to talk about it. I want to saw now that I feel this loss deeply and my broken heart goes out to her family and friends. This is the last thing I ever thought would happen when we decided to bring this tour to Brazil."
