Actor Jeremy Allen White achieved a significant milestone by winning his inaugural Emmy Award in the category of 'Outstanding Lead Actor In A Comedy Series' for his exceptional performance in the series 'The Bear.'

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the Television Academy shared a post and wrote, ‘Congrats to Jeremy Allen White on a first-ever #Emmy nomination and win for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for @TheBearFX (@FXNetworks/ @hulu)! #Emmys #75thEmmys.’

The award ceremony is currently being held at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.

The 75th Emmys, initially slated for September 2023, were postponed because of the Hollywood strikes.

In addition to Jeremy Allen White's win, actor Ebon Moss-Bachrach secured an Emmy in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for his role in 'The Bear.' Furthermore, the show itself was honored with an Emmy for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series.

'The Bear' is an American comedy-drama television series crafted by Christopher Storer. It made its debut on Hulu on June 23, 2022. The show features Jeremy Allen White in the lead role as a young, accomplished chef who comes back to his hometown of Chicago to oversee the tumultuous kitchen operations at his late brother's sandwich shop. The series boasts a talented supporting cast including Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Ayo Edebiri, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colon-Zayas, Abby Elliott, and Matty Matheson.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the FX-produced Hulu series 'The Bear' secured three awards at the Globes, with lead acting honors going to Ayo Edebiri and Jeremy Allen White. The show had previously won four Emmys at the Creative Arts awards, making it a remarkable weekend for the series.

In the Globes competition, 'The Bear' emerged victorious over tough contenders such as ABC's 'Abbott Elementary,' which had won in the same category the previous year, HBO's 'Barry,' Freevee's 'Jury Duty,' fellow Hulu series 'Only Murders in the Building,' and Apple TV's 'Ted Lasso.' 'The Bear' experienced a surge in popularity during its second season, amassing over 3.5 billion minutes of viewing time on Hulu within five weeks of its release, as reported by Nielsen. This season also earned the show 13 Emmy nominations, including a nomination for Best Comedy Series.

'The Bear' won Best Comedy Series at the 2024 Golden Globe Awards.
