Rahul Vaidya and Disha Parmar are one of the most loved couples of the TV industry and their love story is nothing less than a fairytale. Did you know that Rahul realized he was in love with Disha during his stint in ‘Bigg Boss 14’?

Where did Disha and Rahul first meet? 

In an interview with Bombay Times, Rahul Vaidya revealed that he met Disha through common friends and they hit it off instantly. They considered themselves as good friends, but this friendship gradually turned into love.  

First collaboration 

Rahul and Disha first collaborated in the super-hit single, ‘Yaad Teri’ (2019) that featured the actor. Rumours of them dating started to make the rounds soon after the song released. They started attending many events and parties together. 

Proposal 

Rahul expressed his feelings for Disha and proposed marriage to her on national television. This came as a surprise for all his fans and family. Rahul, who realised his feelings for Disha inside the ‘Bigg Boss’ house, proposed to her on her birthday in November 2020. He requested her to convey her decision to the makers.  

Disha came on the show in a Valentine’s Day-special episode and said accepted his proposal. 

Marriage 

The couple tied the knot in Mumbai on July 16. The marriage was reportedly held according to the Vedic rituals in the presence of family and friends. Rahul-Disha had to dump the physical wedding invitations. Wondering why? Well, speaking with Bollywood Bubble, the singer revealed that they were busy making wedding invitations till a day prior to the wedding due to their busy schedules. He said that they messaged the guests inviting them for the wedding. 

First anniversary 

Rahul and Disha travelled to the UK for their first wedding anniversary. The singer took to social media on the special occasion and shared a picture with his wife. Rahul wrote that he wants Disha for the next seven births however cliché it may sound. He also wished for many more years of laughter, happiness and cute moments together.  

‘Happy 1st anniversary my love … 1 year has passed by and so fast… i am so blessed to have you as my life partner! Really want you and only you for agle 7 janam however cliche it sounds.
