Good news for the fans of Raju Srivastava. The comedian-actor’s health has been improving and he has finally gained consciousness after 15 days, his personal secretary Garvit Narang informed as reported by news agency ANI. He added that the doctors at All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi are monitoring his condition.
Raju Srivastava was admitted to the hospital after he suffered a heart attack. His cousin Ashok Srivastava had informed news agency PTI that the comedian collapsed on the treadmill while doing his routine exercise.
Raju's family released a statement on his official Instagram page last week, stating that his condition was ‘stable’. They requested people to ‘ignore any rumour or fake news being circulated’.
‘Raju Srivastava ji's condition is stable. We are praying for his speedy recovery. The doctors are treating him and are doing their best. Thanks to all the well wishers for continued love and support,’ the family said.
Raju Srivastava has been a part of the entertainment industry since late 1980s. He gained recognition after participating in the first season of stand-up comedy show 'The Great Indian Laughter Challenge' in 2005.

He has featured in Hindi films such as 'Maine Pyar Kiya', 'Baazigar', 'Bombay to Goa' (remake) and 'Aamdani Atthani Kharcha Rupaiya'. He was one of the contestants on 'Bigg Boss' season three.
Raju Srivastava is the chairman of the Film Development Council Uttar Pradesh.
