Actor Vijay Deverakonda, who celebrates his 35th birthday today (May 9), is set to star in Dil Raju's ‘SVC 59’, an action-packed film, set in rural India. Directed by Ravi Kiran Kola, who is known for ‘Raja Vaaru Rani Gaaru,’ this pan-India project is next on his agenda.
On Vijay's birthday, the makers unveiled an intriguing teaser poster of his upcoming film on social media. The striking artwork features Vijay holding a sharp weapon amid blood splatters, with the line, ‘Khanjar main.. khoon mera.. jung mere hi saath,’ written on it.
Fans are eagerly anticipating more updates from the makers. The film will be produced by Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations.
‘The blood on his hands is not of their death, but of his own Rebirth.” #SVC59 @TheDeverakonda @SVC_official #DilRaju garu, #Shirish garu #HBDTheVijayDeverakonda,’ Ravi captioned the post on X (formerly Twitter).
While details about the film's female lead and supporting cast remain undisclosed, there is heightened curiosity among Vijay's fans.
Director Ravi recently shared a photo with Vijay and Dil on his social media account to announce an important update about the film. ‘It's time for our Vicious Dynamite to be lit. It's time now to make our vision a reality. @TheDeverakonda Let's wreak havoc, you and I. @SVC_official #DilRaju garu #Sirish garu. #SVC59. Together we WILL deliver a promising film. See you on the 9th. Until next time,’ he captioned the post.
Vijay Deverakonda was last seen in ‘The Family Star’ with Mrunal Thakur. The film received a lukewarm response and was criticised for certain regressive dialogues.
Vijay is currently shooting ‘VD 12’, directed by Gautham Tinnanuri which also stars Sreeleela. He will also reportedly make a cameo appearance in Nag Ashwin’s ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ which stars Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan in lead roles.
