Actor Anupam Tripathi, who gained recognition with popular Korean drama ‘Squid Game’, recently met filmmaker Anurag Kashyap. He took to Instagram on Wednesday and shared a picture with the director, and wrote ‘Simply amazing moment for me :-) I just had an meeting with one of my favorite film director from India. @anuragkashyap10 thank you sir for this short but awesome meeting with you:-).’
The post received some hilarious comments. One user said it was a ‘crossover’ they didn’t expect, while another one commented, ‘Are we expecting ‘Gangs of Seoul?’
Born in Delhi, Anupam Tripathi did theatre from 2006 to 2010 in the national capital. He moved to South Korea in 2010 after winning a scholarship from the Korea National University of Arts. Anupam Tripathi made his acting debut with a Korean film 'Ode To My Father' in 2014. Some of his other best known works, includes Korean series ‘Descendants of the Sun’, ‘Hospital Playlist’ and ‘Space Sweepers’.
