Your binge watch fix: 'Bestseller' to 'A Thursday', here's what to stream this week

Bestseller | Amazon Prime Video 

‘Bestseller’ is a brand-new Indian addition to the set of thriller shows on Amazon Prime Video. Mithun Chakraborty picks up the lead role in this one. The psychological thriller also stars Shruti Hassan, Arjan Bajwa, Gauahar Khan, Satyajeet Dubey, and Sonalee Kulkarni among others. Touted to be a ‘new-age nail-biting thriller’, 'Bestseller' follows the story of a popular novelist played (Arjan Bajwa) who’s hungry to strike gold with his next book. He meets a fan (Shruti Haasan) whose life inspires him to write his next page-turner. But soon enough, the lines between fiction and real start getting blurred and a trail of dead bodies follows, as their hidden motives get revealed. 

A Thursday| Disney + Hotstar 

‘A Thursday’ comes under the genre of Crime and Thriller. It stars Yami Gautam Dhar, Dimple Kapadia, Atul Kulkarni, Neha Dhupia, and Karanvir Sharma in pivotal roles. Naina Jaiswal (Yami), a playschool teacher, turns into a hostage-taker and abducts 16 children. Naina starts a series of demands that creates a rift in law and order, and she also takes the most prominent personality of the country in her clutches. While Dimple Kapadia plays the Prime Minister, Neha Dhupia plays a cop.  

Mithya | Zee 5 

Rohan Sippy’s ‘Mithya’ is an adaptation of the 2019 British series ‘Cheat’ with starred Katherine Kelly and Molly Windsor. The psychological thriller drama stars Bollywood actor Huma Qureshi in the lead role. ‘Mithya’ also marks the debut of Bhagyashree’s daughter Avantika Dassani. Set in Darjeeling, the six-part dark and intense series follows the conflicted relationship between a Hindi literature professor Juhi, played by Qureshi, and her student Rhea. 

Marvel Studios: Assembled – The Making of Eternals | Disney+Hotstar 

If you enjoyed watching ‘The Eternals’, this one certainly should be on your binge-watch list among new OTT releases this week. ‘Marvel Studios: Assembled – The Making of Eternals’ takes fans behind the scenes and brings backstage conversations with stars and filmmakers of the recently released Marvel film. ‘The Eternals’ introduces an immortal alien race that has lived secretly on the planet and comes out after the events of ‘Avengers: Endgame’ to save humanity from the Deviants.

Young Wallander S2 | Netflix

Set in contemporary Sweden, Kurt Wallander is found adrift and uncertain of the future following his exit from the police force. An opportunity to re-join the Major Crimes Unit arises when a new Superintendent, Samuel Osei, takes on the leadership. Wallander accepts the offer and is tasked with what seems to be a straightforward case: a hit-and-run outside a nightclub.
