Legendary filmmaker Yash Chopra's wife Pamela Chopra, who was last seen in ‘The Romantics’, died at the age of 74 on April 20. As per reports, she passed away due to age-related illnesses. Pamela was reportedly admitted to Mumbai’s Lilavati hospital for the past 15 days and was on the ventilator.
Pamela Chopra was actively involved in the music of films made by her husband. She was a playback singer, film producer, and writer. Pamela crooned songs for several hit films, including ‘Kabhie Kabhie’, ‘Noorie’, ‘Kaala Patthar’, ‘Silsila’, ‘Chandni’, ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’, and ‘Mujhse Dosti Karoge!’.
She has also been credited as the writer for ‘Kabhie Kabhie’, and costume designer for films like ‘Silsila’ and ‘Sawaal’.
Yash Chopra married Pamela in 1970. They were blessed with two sons, Uday, and Aditya Chopra.
During her recent appearance in ‘The Romantics’, Pamela Chopra talked about Yash Chopra’s journey as a director and how he managed to make films despite facing a tough time at the box office.
