Having not made it to any major football final since 1966 was thing that Eluded English football for 55 years. But that changed in Euro 2020 as the Three Lions will fancy their chances of going all the way when they take on a strong Italy side at the Wembley stadium on Sunday night.
England have been in sublime form and conceded their first goal of the competition in the semi-finals. They though managed to beat Denmark to make it to to their first-ever Euro final. Italy too tasted their only Euro triumph back in 1968 and have lost in 2 finals since then. The Azzurri beat Spain on penalties on Tuesday, which technically, halted their 13-game winning streak. But Italy are still unbeaten in 33 outings.
Though Italy enjoys a 11-8 head-to-head record in 27 games vs England, The two teams have won 1 each in the last 5 encounters against each other.
