The UK police on Thursday arrested four people, after English footballers faced racial abuse online after their defeat against Italy in Sunday's Euro 2020 finals.
Bukayo Saka, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho were targeted on different social media platforms after they missed penalties in the final.
Calling the abuse 'utterly vile', UK authorities handling the probe warned that if those behind the crime are identified, they will be tracked down and made to face serious consequences for their shameful act.
Earlier UK PM Boris Johnson promised to ban those guilty of racism from attending football matches.
