Exercise & screen time: What world health experts recommend for kids

The World Health Organisation, on Wednesday, released its first-ever set of lifestyle guidelines for kids under the age of 5 years. For children under 5, screen time should be restricted to a maximum of one hour every day and babies less than a year old should not be exposed to screens at all. Moreover, to keep obesity and other diseases at bay, infants must spend at least half an hour every day on their stomachs, while older children are recommended to engage in at least three hours of physical activity every day.
