Minutes after slamming the Maha Vikas Aghadi government for failing to protect the Maratha reservation, BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis met NCP supremo Sharad Pawar, raising political eyebrows.

The former chief minister, who shared a picture of the meeting with the stalwart leader on his social media handles, is believed to have met Pawar as a ‘goodwill’ gesture enquiring about his health after his recent surgeries.

The meeting comes amidst BJP’s plan to hold a protest on June 5 over the failed handling of the MVA government of the Maratha quota issue.

After the apex court struck down the petition on Maratha reservation, Maharashtra has witnessed high political drama over the issue.
