Shah Rukh Khan may be out of sight, but for fans, King Khan can never be out of mind.
Fans are waiting with bated breath for the Badshaah's resurgence.
Shah Rukh has stayed away from the big screen since 2018, his last film was 'Zero' which didn't do great at the Box Office.
Around 'Zero', there was a strong buzz that SRK will be seen next in Rakesh Sharma biopic 'Saare Jahan Se Accha', another biopic on Sahir Ludhianvi helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and Don 3. But, none of the three films materialised.
In the same year, Shah Rukh also pulled out of several endorsements. Trade analysts were particularly worried, after he dropped off from the 2nd spot to the 13th in the Forbes list of richest celebs.
Shah Rukh’s absence from social media and public appearances, after working non-stop for 30 years, also signalled that a fatigue of sorts had set in.
In an interview with Filmfare magazine, Shah Rukh said, "My kids are in their college, my daughter is going to college and my son is about to finish his studies. So I just want to spend more time with my family"
This year, things took a turn for the worse and his family went through a tough time with his eldest son, Aryan Khan, being arrested in a drugs case.
Amid a personal crisis, fans stood by the King, because what are fans if they aren’t by their favourite star’s side in these trying times?
Mannat, SRK's home became a celebration ground when Aryan returned home, released on bail.
Shah Rukh is finally returning to the big screen with an untitled film being directed by filmmaker Atlee. He also has 'Pathan' opposite Deepika Padukone with Salman Khan in a cameo.
In an AMA session on Twitter in June this year, Shah Rukh Khan said, "I will gently allow my films to enter your hearts….soon"
Well, we can only wait. Happy Birthday Shah Rukh Khan.
