Thousands of farmers are marching towards Raj Bhavans across states to mark 7 months since they began their protest against the 3 farming legislations introduced by the Centre. Farmers want to hand over a memorandum to the Governors demanding the repeal of the controversial laws.
Security in and around the national capital has also been strengthen as some farmers groups are marching towards Delhi. Protesting farmers also organised a demonstration outside Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal's house.
There has been continued protests at Singhu, Tikri and Ghazipur borders of Delhi since they started in November last year.
Police used water cannons to disperse farmers as they broke through barricades at Chandigarh-Mohali border, trying to march towards the Punjab governor's house.
A large number of farmers, including women, from several parts of Punjab assembled at Amb Sahib gurudwara in Mohali before moving towards Punjab Raj Bhavan.
In Haryana too farmers from several parts of the state pushed through the police barricades in Panchkula to continue their march towards the Raj Bhavan.
