Dismissing the reports of a rift between the BJP and JDU, CM Nitish Kumar's party has stated that it is firmly with the NDA in Bihar. Senior JDU leader Lallan Singh on Sunday dismissed reports of a breakdown of ties in the alliance. Nitish Kumar himself had launched an indirect attack on the BJP at a party meet on Saturday, claiming JDU struggled to win seats because of delayed seat-sharing talks between the two parties. He said the JDU had "paid a big price" and that "false propaganda was spread against my party" - a veiled reference to LJP chief Chirag Paswan, who fielded candidates only against JDU.
