FM kicks off Budget 2021 with 'Halwa Ceremony', launches Budget app

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, with senior officials of the finance ministry, on Saturday participated in the symbolic 'Halwa Ceremony' that marks the beginning of compilation of budget documents. Ahead of the presentation of the Union Budget on February 1, Sitharaman also launched the "Union Budget Mobile App" for hassle-free access of Budget-related documents by Members of Parliament and the public.
